Many bloggers are now making the transition from web to print, writing inspiring cook books and culinary chronicles. Here are a few to look out for.

Food bloggers have become well-known over recent years - enthusiastic cooks with a passion for food, photographing it and sharing their creations with the world. There are those that cook in the comfort of their own home, and there are others who prefer eating out at exclusive restaurants - photographing delicately-arranged food and posting their restaurant reviews all over the internet.

And yet more and more of them are making the transition from web to print with cookery books that are inspired by their original blogs. Here are three books to look out for, by well-established food bloggers.

The Art of Eating In by Cathy Erway Was Inspired by her Blog Not Eating Out in New York

Brooklyn-based Cathy Erway began a blog in 2006 to chronicle her decision not to eat out and to cook at home instead. For two years, instead of ordering takeaways and eating out at restaurants, she got to grips with the kitchen and set about creating great meals that would save her some money and also inspire others.

Her cook book, The Art of Eating In was published in February 2010. It contains recipes as well as a memoir about her journey into cooking at home, what she's learned and the people she met along the way.

Julia Parsons Book A Slice of Cherry Pie Promotes Comforting, Seasonal Food

Julia Parsons is no stranger to the British food blogging scene. She established the UK Food Bloggers Association, where food bloggers can discuss food trends, share their blog posts and network via the forums. Her blog, A Slice of Cherry Pie, was also rated as one of the top 50 food blogs by The Times. Her first book was published in December 2010.

A Slice of Cherry Pie is a collection of recipes that follow the seasons, from Spring to Winter. There are some recipes from the blog as well as many new ones created for the book. The book also contains writings about the memories that inspired some of the recipes. There are also a number of photographs, some from Julia's own collection.

The Not Quite Nigella Cookbook Inspired by Cooking and the Life of a Food Blogger

Sydney-based Lorraine Elliott of the successful Not Quite Nigella blog has a great story to tell. She gave up a successful job in media to take on blogging full time. Her book is due out in June 2011 and takes a "behind the scenes" look at her life as a food blogger.

As well as featuring recipes, the book will explore how she made the transition to full-time blogger and will also look back at how she grew up in a what she calls a "food-obsessed family from a different culture in a different country". She will also tackle the do's and don'ts of blogging, passing on her advice to others thinking of following in her footsteps and creating food blogs of their own. And as for the name of the blog, she says that Nigella Lawson has visited it and loves the name!

Look out for the Not Quite Nigella book out this summer.

Not everyone can make the successful transition from blog to book - but these three writers are set for success with each of their own, very different books.
