Jo Romero
Jo is a Freelance Writer, Food Blogger and Home Cook.
Her previous roles include a Restaurant Reviewer for a student magazine and Recruitment Consultant where she placed various people into work in different sectors including the catering industry.
Since leaving work in 2006 to look after her children full time, she has become passionate about eating good food, and has been involved in food campaigns including the Chicken Out and Fish Fight campaigns run by Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall. She also wrote her own food column in Chain magazine for two years and has set up a blog called Comfort Bites dedicated to promoting good comforting food. Jo is also a member of the UK Food Bloggers Association.
Jo still finds time to indulge in her passion of History and is particularly interested in the origins of foods and what our ancestors would have eaten. She can often be found visiting Windsor Castle and other historical buildings to research further articles.
